Well on Saturday it snowed! December's first snow here in Provo. Nathanael got home from work at about noon and by one when I looked out the window our car was covered with snow. I wanted to take some photos but it was so cold and I'm a wuss. I will take some photos of the snow before it's gone, I promise.
Saturday night we went to Nathanael's traditional family Christmas dinner at Chuck-A-Rama, that's right, Chuck-A-Rama. Now I know that sounds funny or silly or whatever but it's the best! There was 18 people there and imagine 18 people in your house for a family dinner! Last year there was 25 people there! Nathanael and I were really excited about going too. We love Chuck-A-Rama and always end up stuffing ourselves silly. I am a good girl though, I always get a salad first to fill up most of the room in my empty stomach. That actualy only sounds like I'm being a good girl, I have to admit that the salad is the best part and I load up my plate with greens, beans, peas, tomatoes, a little cheese, ranch dressing and tortilla strips...YUM!
Nathanael and I are the Nursery Leaders in our ward and we sang Once there was a Snowman during singing time. The kids love singing time and their favorite song is one about monkeys in a tree and an aligator comes and SNAPS one out of the tree. (At SNAPS you clap your hand together really loud and that's the part the kids love best.)
I just can't believe Christmas is almost here! It seems like jsut yesterday that it was my birthday (August) or our 1st anniversary (May) or just the beginning of the year. Antoher year almost gone. It makes me think about how little time we actually have in the grand scheme of things. It makes me appreciate things more. I hope I can remember this feeling every day next year.
