Painted Birds

I had these brown birds that I bought at DI a while ago sitting on my tv stand. I really like them but I wasn't too sure about the color. They just didn't see to go with the rest of my stuff.

So I decided to paint them. I was a little nervous because I've painted lots of wood things before but not ceramic. But I got our my paints and went to work. And...tadah!

I love them, they're a little distressed and sanded and they really stand out now in my living room. I can't help but look at them every time I'm in the room.
