What I Spent Last Week Doing

Well, last week was full of fun. On Thursday we went up into the mountains to help Nathanael's sister at girls camp. We were up there to help with the zipline, unfortunately that didn't last too long. Thanks to the lightning storm that hit. It was a little scary standing at the top of a metal tower unhooking a girl from the zipline while lightning flashed only a few feet away. We had to stay up in the mountains longer than we had planned because within minutes all the dirt roads had become mud trails and we got stuck after sliding backwards down a hill. We did have fun though and the girls were very nice.

When we finally got home I spent all night making invitations to a friend of a friend's bridal shower. I only had about two days notice before they had to be finished but I got paid for doing them. After a lot of stress trying to figure out what to do I decided on a style.

Cute right! They were a lot of work but I love how they turned out. But check it out...this is why they took so long.

Yikes, I still shudder when I look at those piles! But I'm happy, mostly that they are finished, but also that this was my first paid job!

Then on Saturday my sister-in-law hosted a class. Not very many people came and no one bought anything but look how cute the cards are that we made, they're little 3x3 cards with a matching gift tag.

I loved makign the little cupcakes, how cute are they! Such simple cards for birthday gifts.
