Our Little Gingerbread House...and a Great New Blog/Give-Away

Last night Nathanael and I sat down to make our gingerbread house. We had been meaning to do it for a while and last night was finally un-crazy enough for us to be able to make it. Well, that's a lie, we didn't make it so much as decorate it, since it was already made and assembled.

So, once upon a time there was a little brown house in the middle of ... a table ... and a wonderful, magical princess started to decorate it with pretty, yummy candies. (Except we found out today that those little round ones aren't so much yummy as they are rock hard!)

Then a handsome prince decided to help decorate with sweet gum drops. (He's making the cobble stone path, fancy!)

Oh no! Something happened to the beautiful princess! She was put under an evil spell and she tried to attack the little house!

Eek! The handsome prince fell under the same evil spell, what is the little house to do? Just when it looked like the little house would be destroyed the prince and princess recovered! Yay!

The little house was saved, and looks mighty beautiful too! And tasty, except for those really hard little ball candies!

On another note...
I found another wonderful blog today, Design Mom and she has adorable ideas. Her posts are easy to read and are accompanied by beautiful photos. I love all of her ideas, especially the advent calendars that she found. Plus she is starting a neat give-away tomorrow called the 12 Days of Christmas. The prizes are a secret so far but I'm looking forward to tomorrow when all will be revealed. If you want to be part of the give-away you should check out her site tomorrow for all the details. It's very exciting!
