Antique Shopping

While my parents were here I went antique shopping with my mom and my firend AnnElise. We had to go to DI, of course, and we went to an antique mall on the highway just north of Springville. I could spend all day in that place, and we almost did. I didn't find much...well I did find a lot but I didn't buy much...trying to save those pennies for Oregon! I did find some more, very reasonbly priced, purple glass bottles to add to my small but growing collection.

It's hard to tell in the photos but some of them are a very pretty shade of purple, plus the longer they sit in the sun the darker the color with get. I know they are a little dirty, as soon a we buy new toothbrushes I'm using my old one to get down inside the bottle, nothing else will reach. The best part about these bottles...the most expensive one was $1.99!

I have a bunch of snack sets and I love them. These interesting tress I found at DI but I only found 3 of them. There was 4 but one had a big chunk of the glass missing. So I'm keeping my eyes peeled for one more plate.

I found this gorgeous bowl at DI also. I almost passed it by because it had just been brought out on a trolley and I didn't see the inside, it was full or other things waiting to go out on the shelves. When I did notice the inside I scooped it up right away.

It was only $1.50 and it's in pretty great condition. There's a mark on the bottom that I have googled but don't know too much information about.

At first glance, I have to admit, I thought that said hoe-toe-vin, then I thought "hmm maybe that says Hot Oven...duh."
